Overcome Depression
What is depression?
Depression is the state of mind where the person often can't see a purpose to their lives. Often events from the past can create feelings of guilt and regret that a person struggles with internally. The symptoms of depression include: Sad feelings. Lack of motivation. Low energy. Feeling there's no point to your life.
Depression can be mild to severe and if untreated it can be fatal. Suicide is on the rise so the sooner depression is addressed and treated the sooner a person can get back to their normal self again.
Why does depression start?
So this is the interesting bit! Traditional therapy suggests that depression is caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain. Typically low serotonin, which is why they advise taking antidepressants or SSRIs.
Steve has found that by his therapy alone he has been able to help people reverse the causes of depression without the need for medication.
Depression is caused by ruminating on negative thoughts about the past, present and future. It's a cycle of thinking that causes the body to create feelings of sadness and inner grief.
Is the situation permanent?
It doesn't have to be but you have to work at it. Mental health isn't like joining a gym for 3 months. It has to be worked at every day. Using the principles Steve teaches you can find a routine that creates drive and purpose for your life.
People with depression often lose sight of their purpose and feel lost where to go. With the right structure and guidance you can start to carve out a life you can be proud of.
